“I've had chronic shoulder pain for years, and have tried all sorts of remedies...Within a few minutes after our first session, I suddenly seemed to have more space in my shoulder than I had had in years.”

MASSAGE THERAPY by CRAIG FAUCHER and ASSOCIATES
NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY:
Static pressure and muscle stripping de-activate triggerpoints, which can throw off proper muscle balance and refer unexplained pain to different areas of the body. Triggerpoints can mimick many much more serious ailments, such as: hernia, frozen shoulder, tendinitis, slipped disks, TMJ, nerve impingement, and hearing and sight problems. They are prominent causes of headaches, neck spasms, and lower back pain.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE:
Strokes that unstick the tissues surrounding muscles and bone can restore proper posture and body mechanics. This technique allows better supply of nutrients and waste removal to tissues.
SPORTS:
Stretching, deep work, and client participation allow muscle groups to work more efficiently together, often to optomize the body for specific activites. It is beneficial before and after athletic events.
SWEDISH:
Longer strokes and alternating rhythms can calm nerves, loosen musculature, and improve circulation. Whether used for relaxation or invigoration, it is always grounding
DEEP TISSUE:
Firm to intense pressure is used to free up deeper layers of muscle and break up adhesions that cause pain and inhibit proper mobility.
Massage therapists use a range of techniques to achieve healing. Your massage may incorporate any or all of the following modalities depending on your needs and your therapist's judgment. Also check out our "other services" page also.
HOT STONE THERAPY:
Warm stones ehhance the relaxing nature of massage and penetrate deeper into muscle tissues. It can provide the next level of relaxation or prepare muscles for deeper work.

INJURY/ORTHOPEDIC MASSAGE:
This modality involves precise frictioning treatment of injured tendons, muscles, and ligaments, which are the root of chronic injuries and tendonitis. When combined with at-home excercises and the above techniques, orthopedic massage can eliminate some of the pains you thought would always be there.
STRETCHING:
Joints need to be put through their full range of motion frequently to maintain proper body mechanics. If not, they will lose mobility and the muscles surrounding them will shorten and atrophy. This can lead to injury.

Stretching can be incorporated in with a massage treatment, or performed after. Chances are we will send you home with stretches to perform on your own. We specialize in tradtional passive stretching as well as
several kinds of assisted stretching like PNF and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS)
